Dining: Wine & Gourmet: Academie du Vin  

Nemacolin’s resident Sommelier invites guests for a tasting of world class wines from around the globe in the Académie du Vin, located near Lautrec in the Chateau Lafayette.

The truth is in the fruit!  Over 46,000 different grapes are used to produce wine.  The School of the Grapes is conducted on Wednesdays at 4:00 p.m. in the Académie du Vin.  This class will assist you in the discovering the origin and aromatic profile of one of the main varietals of the world.  Learn the basic rules of wine tasting while enjoying two wines made with the same grape.


Wine Tastings
Travel through the vines and the wines of one of the finest vineyards in the world.
Offered each Friday at 4:00 p.m. in the resort’s state-of-the-art Académie du Vin.  Tastings are led by one of Nemacolin’s expert sommeliers and feature a new tasting theme and / or topic weekly.


Special Reserve Wine Tasting
Held on Saturdays, at Nemacolin's Académie du Vin, the Special Reserve Wine Tasting is limited to just 16 guests and features more exclusive and premium wines from around the globe. Reservations are required.


Art of Wine Pairing Seminar
Learn the basic rules of wine pairing in a relaxing and joyful way.  Experience the chemistry of food and wine under the supervision of our enthusiastic Sommelier.  This educational workshop takes place on Sundays in the Lautrec Bistro Room from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.  During the first hour, guests will learn the basic rules of wine pairing and during the second hour guests will select dishes from the Sunday Brunch to pair with wine.  Recommended for Epicureans only.


All wine tastings are reserved for guests 21 years and over.
